Learning from ‘Life of a Blog Post’
18 October 2011
Sometimes our work projects teach us a thing or two. Sometimes they can teach everyone something. We have certainly learned a lot from our latest brochure featuring the Life of a Blog Post, and we hope that others will learn from it as well.
As Communication Designers, we are surrounded by blogs and blogging. Whether it be researching and writing for our clients or for our own blogs, we interact with the blogosphere on a daily basis. Our London-based colleague, Ngaire Ackerley, explains how her work on the development of the Life of a Blog Post deepened her understanding of blogging:
“Working on the Life of a Blog Post encouraged me to think more thoroughly about blogging; it allowed me to study the core process and goals of blogging, making me realise how simple and effective blogging can be when carefully thought through. Stripping blogging down to its basic elements was a very valuable process for me, and for lbdesign as a whole.”
Our efforts to break down the blogging process to its core steps enabled us to gain valuable insight into the real value of commercial blogging. This investigation and study of the Life of a Blog Post expanded our knowledge of how small businesses can approach blogging and what value they can develop from their efforts.
We invite to you study of our Life of a Blog Post infographic, and we certainly invite your feedback on the piece. You can also request you a PDF copy too.
